Arvind Kejriwal's Second day

The second day of +Arvind Kejriwal as CM seems to have started off with a lot of Unnecessary Noise!
        Members of the DTC, or Anybody, are Welcome to present their difficulties to Arvind, who, they are Sure to know, is a Very Receptive person. He is Not only Approachable, he comes directly to the People and mixes with them.
        With All this in Mind, the WAY the DTC people brought forth their complaints was not in the Best of forms. All that Shouting, and Blocking the Whole Place!
        Arvind will have to think about the Citizens who live in those Apartment houses, their convenience, ability to go in and out, and the Silence required for the Old and Young Children, and for the Students there.
        Calling the 'police' for 'Crowd Control' will NOT prove effective, as the police do not believe in Talking and Making People Understand. They will immediately put up Barriers, and stand using their Batons.
        The AAP Volunteers in that area will have to go on rotation duty, assuring Petitioners that their petitions WILL be seen to, asking them to Keep more Silent for the reasons mentioned, etc.
        Also, it does not seem a very practical idea that Arvind will come down to listen to all petitions. There should be a PRO, just for attending and noting the people's requests. This office is quite common, and AAP should see to this.

the Official Secrets Act

During the swearing in ceremony of the AAP-ians, happened to switch on the TV just as the oath on the Official Secrets Act was being administered.

I wonder Just When this law/act had been formulated. During british times? When they took the decisions, did not want Us to know about them, and put an act to that effect.

Now, what is there to be hidden from the Citizen? There is definitely No call to broadcast a Country's Defence related matters. But other than that, I believe that the govt SHOULD be ready to tell the Citizen of all its decisions, and the processes involved. They should be on call, anyway.

At present, I believe that the act becomes a convenient shroud behind which shady dealings can be perpetrated. It should be done away with. Am surprised AAP does not have it on its agenda.

VIP's - vip-culture - anupam kher

In an interview over the TV last night, +Anupam kher had said, (if the TV had reported it correctly), that the AAP would not be able to do away with the 'vip-culture' as the AAP-ians have become VIP's themselves.
        My dear Anupam, how right You are in calling the upcoming AAP-ians VIP's. ...There are Many Important persons. Each Parent and Each Child is Important, Each Coach is Important, some players are Important...
        But Some, and Only Some, are Really Very Important. Those whom I disdainfully call politicos have called 'themselves' vip's. But We saw How Easily Replaceable they are. But the Combination of Honesty, Hard Work, Charism and Simplicity exhibited by the AAP-ians is what Truly makes them VIP's.
        Now let us come to the so called 'vip-culture.' What a Joke! That the way the politicos have been living should in any way be associated with Culture! Leaving aside the terminology, We Know that this so called vip-culture stands for the Vulture-culture of the psuedo aristocrats, who spend Crores on pleasure trips to Australia and S. America while their Farmers are committing Suicide, who go around in Convoys of Cars, God alone knows why, and all that humbug.
        The AAP-ians have Not given in to that. Today their Top Ministers used the Public Transport, WITHOUT filling in their compartments with their 'security.' During this morning's news over +Headlines Today, one of the congee spokespersons criticized the Security arrangements at the Ram Leela grounds, saying that the AAP 'IS' taking security after all, and the TV anchor/presenter concurred! (How suggestible we are!). But the security, of 1,600 police personnel, was NOT there for the ministers taking oath. It was on the grounds, seeing that Patna-like incidents did not happen to the PEOPLE who were going to attend the ceremony.
        So it is Eminently possible for VIP's to Give-up, and Live Without, the so-called vip-mentality. The AAP is showing that, and it is High Time that other politicos followed suit, if they do not want to face the Wrath of the Citizens.      

If Arvind Kejriwal CAN!

+Arvind Kejriwal has Refused the 'govt Bungalow' that chief ministers reside in, Police Protection, etc. All AAP ministers have vowed to do the same.
        But the AAP and Arvind Kejriwal are not the Only ones to practice Austerity and Control. Christ became man, Ram went for his Van-vaas, and I am sure Mohammad was great. Then we have our Gandhiji, Abraham Lincoln and Nelson Mandela. The list would be very long. I took the example of Arvind merely because he is our Most recent Example.
        That Established, let me take up my point for this post:
        On the 21st of this month, a young woman, +Alefia Kapadia was harassed by a man in a Chevy, regn no: MH 01PA 598. She had taken this man's photograph, and had gone to the police, who, she says, were very helpful.
        I Absolutely Disagree.
        Once having the registration number, it can not take the police even 30 minutes to trace the vehicle's owner. Yet Alefia's photos are live on Facebook today, without the mention that the man has been caught. That means, SIX days after the incident, the police have kept sitting on their behinds.
        AAP was formed on the Challenge, 'If not Us, then Who?'
        The political parties, the courts and the police have SHOWN us that they are not going to come to our Rescue. The police force, formed of the Lower Middle Class People, acts Only to protect the so called VIPs. So I believe that We have to Protect our Own. Teach Rowdies Strong lessons so that they would behave. Sure, they are Organized. But Just Why can We not do the Needful?
        And do this in Such a Manner that it is not Working off our Grudges and Petty Insults.
        If Arvind CAN, So can WE! We can mete out Justice where and when Needed, and Remain Responsible Citizens.

Would 50-50 be Right?

On the 23rd of December, a Young girl 'ran away' with somebody. When Young Men or Women go off and marry without the Consent or Blessings in Traditional families, it is called 'Running away' in India, and is considered Very Bad. Hindus, Muslims, Christians, Sikhs, all think this way. Love Marriages are accepted, but it is also expected that the Couple would Present each other to their respective families, and that the backgrounds and suitabilities are examined. This young girl's family is quite traditional too. They are Christians. So they had No Christmas this year. (This means they did not Celebrate Christmas).

In another case, In the beginning of last month, a family lost one of their Sons. No Christmas for them this year either, though the loss had occurred last month. (Both these are True cases).

Thus we see that even AT the time of Christmas, things are happening. We cannot 'Shelve' things just because it is Christmas. These things are of Great Concern to God. NOT that He is Disturbed, Worried or Upset. But He IS concerned.

Let us consider what the Elders in both these families would have done. Particularly for the Small Children, they would have bought them New Clothes, served them Good Eatables, and would have tried to keep them happy. They would not have Stopped Cooking, in any case!

Allow me to throw in the Example of the new AAP govt in Delhi just now. They have made promises to the people, 18 points in their agenda. They will be thinking of Ways and Means to Fulfill these promises, IN the midst of the uncertainties of the congress support, the criticism and mockery of the bjp, and what not.

THIS is what We have to Do. We shall keep Breathing. We shall be Eating and Sleeping. We shall even Celebrate Christmas (I am NOT asking You to stop this!!!).

But let us keep the Miseries of the World and the Needs of our Country, of our Children, Right in FRONT of our Eyes as an Agenda. Let us Keep them in our Prayers, our Thinking and our Efforts.

Christmas does NOT mean putting a Stop to our Concern for our Fellow Man. And WE ARE EXPECTED TO BE AS CONCERNED AS OUR HEAVENLY FATHER.

Wish You The Blessings of Christmas, to ALL of You, my Friends!

(I had wanted to post this on Christmas day itself; could not as my internet had been down.)

The Angels sang: 'Peace to People of Goodwill.' Other translations would say: 'Peace on Earth.'

Peace can be had ONLY by People of Good Will!

And the Peace is offered On EARTH! ...No Pie in the Sky when You Die stuff.

...I came across this answer in as far apart places as Gorakhpur and Tilkimarang. When asked, 'What is Christmas?' People have answered: 'That is the day when Christians eat Cake and Drink.' True or Not, that is the Impression we have given.

Christ is not waiting for us to turn up for the Eucharist. Christ is not waiting to hear our Christmas Carols. And He is NOT Impressed with our reaching out to the Poor at THIS time.

Even at Christmas time, Christ it downright Annoyed when we treat others with Contempt or Lack of Sympathy. He is Flabbergasted at our Turning our Backs on Medical Care for the Poor.

...Christmas is Many things. We will do Well to KEEP all these thoughts in our Minds, Ponder on them as Mary did, and Do our BEST to bring His Kingdom on Earth.

WHETHER WE DID OUR BEST OR NOT WILL BE ASSESSED BY CHRIST JESUS HIMSELF.

The AAP - and Tamil Nadu

Am an AAP member, (No. 9000283198), and Proud of it.

Recently, a friend expressed his difficulties with regard to the 'hindi' name of the party. What I wrote to him would be useful for many more:

AAP stands for Aam Aadmi Party, which really means the Party of 'The Common Man.' Pothu Makkal Katchi would be the best translation, though some are proposing 'saamaanya makkal katchi.' 

I disagree with the saamaanya, as it means 'Having no spl skills,' whereas Pothu means Common as Opposed to the 'spl' folks. AAP was started to counter the vip culture, and to fight Corruption.

...I suppose they did not think of the negative impact of a hindi name in Tamil Nadu. BUT, if we can accept english names, we should accept Hindi. english is foreign, and Hindi is at least Indian. Finally, if we want to remain with languages, problems! If we are ready to go with issues, AAP is the thing!

Can AAP Fulfill its promises?

So much talk about this! So many people, from anna hazare, to kiran bedi, to members of the bjp and the congress are raising this question.

Two VERY Simple Answers to that:

1. There had been the statement of Challenge, that AAP would not get a Single Seat in the last polls. The Citizens of Delhi and 'Time' have Answered that.

2. Similarly, Only Time can answer this present (useless!) Question! ...What is the Use of asking if a particular horse can pull a particular cart, or whether India would win the next test, or whatever? Let those asking these questions just Wait. They will find out the Answer.

As for US in the AAP, We are Confident that the Promises made CAN and WILL be fulfilled.

There had also been a Question about 'Popular' but 'Impractical' measures/reforms.

The old definition of politics was: Doing the 'Expedient' thing, that of 'Compromise,' etc. AAP has come to Show that the RIGHT things will be done, However Difficult they are.

The Rise and Rise of Arvind Kejriwal

Usually people speak of the 'rise and FALL' of this and that. It was said of the Roman Empire, etc. Here it is 'The rise and the RISE of AK!'

This heading was one of the things that flash on our TV screens, particularly when we are watching news. This is from the Media! It was there on the Wall of either the Headlines Today, or Times Now, forgive this old man for not remembering. I saw it this morning. ...But when I saw it not important!

What is Important, and Impressive, and Heartening, and Everything Positive is that Arvind has made All of Us Proud! When India lost in cricket, we used to feel bad, and Good when India won!

The Rise of Arvind is giving a feeling that is Deeper than what we had by the Victories of India in the field of Sport. This is Life. Where We were wondering if ever there was an End possible to all the corruption, the Rot and the Rottenness, here we have a Lion, who has Used his Many Qualities, of his Honesty, his Courage, Capabilities of Inspiring Others, Organizing skills, Getting Others to Work together, what not, to Make Bharat Mata Herself Proud! Kudos, Arvind! God's Blessings on You.

All this does not mean I am not appreciating the role and the good qualities of the Other Leaders of the AAP. Keep it Up, Folks, You are Much Appreciated.

AAP forming govt with congress support

MUCH is being said against the AAP forming the govt in Delhi with the 'so-called' support of the congress. AAP is being criticized for going against the previous statement that it would not take the support of either the bjp or the congress. Has the AAP gone back on its word?

AAP did not form the govt to start making money, to get money from contractors and to loot the Treasury. If there had been a re-election, the AAP would have Won hands down. But before that, the People of Delhi gave a 'Mandate' to the AAP to form the govt.

'Personally' I am one of those who had said that we should not trust the congress. But, I Trust Arvind and the Other leaders of the AAP. If the AAP has gone back on its word of not allying with the congress or others, AAP has done so BECAUSE THE PEOPLE WANTED IT.

On the other hand, the congress has already gone back on its 'so called' Promise, to give Un-conditional support to the AAP. The congress has 'shown' what its promises are worth. Fool would be the Citizen who would believe in the promises of this party, or in fact any party, EXCEPT the AAP.

the congress - and the performance circle!

A Person searching for a job is asked what and how much Experience he has in the field.

A Person just having finished his studies, and searching for his first job, naturally has NO experience.

This is the Notorious 'Experience Circle.'

With AAP forming the govt in Delhi, the congress has created the 'Performance' circle.

The congress had earlier asked the AAP to form the govt, saying that it, the congress would support the AAP. Now it says that its support to the AAP would be 'Performance based.'

The congress has started off by creating a Problem. One gets the feeling that it would try its level best to see that AAP has a difficult time. AAP's Performance just 'might' be affected by it.

So they would create Problems in the Performance, and lend support according to Performance!

lovejoynpeace - and - KABADDI!

My Blog carries the name: 'Love, Joy and Peace,' and it would seem that I have posted almost Nothing on that!

Before I go further into that, about KABADDI. This is an Indian Game, played practically All over India. We have two teams, and the playing area is about as big as a 'Beach volley ball court.' One player at a time, alternately, enters the others' area, and is supposed to 'touch' those on the other side, All the while singing or saying out something, to show that he is doing all this in one 'Breath.' The other side will try to catch him. If he reaches the centre line, he is alive, and all those he had touched are 'out.' If his breath gives out before he comes to the centre while he is caught, 'he' is out.

In this, while one member of a team tries to grab him, as many as possible will rush to keep him in. If just one or two try to catch him, he might slip away. I am not giving You all the  intricacies of the game, of course.

...If Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose had tried to shoot down the british, they would have sent a platoon or a company of soldiers, surrounded him, and would have finished him off. If Gandhiji had tried His Satyagraha alone, If He had not found support, Freedom would Not have been achieved. Examples Ad Nauseam.

When we notice an Issue that would affect the Well Being of our Family or Country, We have to Join in in Support.

Involvement in the Well Being of Another brings Satisfaction, and the Experience of Being Loved. It brings us Peace and Happiness. In Short, Love, Joy and Peace!

How the congress can win

Here I am, a confessed AAP Sympathizer and Supporter, giving Ideas to the enemy camp? Haha. But wait a little till You have read more.

rahul gandhi seems to be brimming with ideas, on whom to keep where, whom to send where, etc.

And sonia gandhi is of the opinion that 'the programmes carried out by the party were not explained well enough to the People.' According to her, her party cadres failed in this, and that is the reason for their failure in the recent elections.

[As if The People did not know what was being done there, which is Actually Nothing.]

...Now, even 'she' cannot blame Others about what I am going to say:

The Whole NATION had been trying to explain to her and to the congress that CORRUPTION is extreme in the party, and that it would bring them down. In Reality, Corruption is lying Right at the Door Steps of the so called leadership of the party, in the person of vadra, sonia's son in law, for one. And it is this practice of Corruption that brought the congress down.

Let me finally come to the point: congress can win if they would jail vadra, and ALL the corrupt ministers in the party. That would also give them the Moral Authority to prosecute the corrupt in any and every corner of the Nation.

If they would Really do that, the following Happy things would happen:

1. The whole country would vote for them, and they, the congress can be happy. No more long faces.

2. Arvind and AAP can go and take a rest, as that would be the beginning of a Corruption Free India. Arvind would be happy and his family would be happy. They deserve the Rest.

3. anna hazare would be happy that his former companion, Kejriwal is no longer in politics.

Over to the congress now.

No WONDER so many laws are Bad!

About half an hour ago, had put on the TV, onto my favourite... +TIMES NOW. They were airing anna hazare's lokpal bill's 'debate' in the lower house.

That word, debate, really Had to be put in inverted commas. +Sushma Swaraj was speaking, and in the background, it sounded as if wolves were baying in the jungle. May be we should appreciate these speakers who can carry on when others are clamouring like this. I cannot. If You do not want to listen to me, I have better things to do.

Well, I cannot understand how so-called civilized men and women can create Bedlam during serious discussions. Can they not stand up and express their opposition to the views, and that be noted?

laws are supposed to be made precisely in these Mad-House situations! And that is Why, No WONDER so many laws are bad.

You want some EXAMPLES just now? I give You the Americans Strip Searching all those whom they arrest, according to their 'law,' no less, and our Own IT66A. According to this latter, If You ask Just How is it that this person made so much money within such a short period of time, It would be called 'Scurrilous' (It had been used by a 'minister' and I had to look it up), and You will jailed, and thence disappear! Alice in Wonderland!

We are too much taken up with words

People are more offended when I call an Idiot an Idiot, than they are when they see a poor woman molested.

Here, the 'word' pundit would immediately latch on to the word, 'poor,' and might say, a Diplomat is not a poor person.

Idiocy. Let us learn to stick to the Main things, Getting Offended by words, than by a Molestation.

Let us come to this particular case:

If You call me an Idiot, I do not know how many would laugh at me.

But, (DO Excuse me), if somebody had lifted Your Sister's skirt, and I had seen it, and I tell it to the World, tell me the World would NOT be Snickering at Your Sister.

Authors, Speakers, Gurus, have a veritable Responsibility to see that the message Reaches Home.

One Very famous example that comes to my mind is that of the Zen Master telling somebody, who had kept ON enquiring as to Just what the Buddha was , with these words: "The Buddha is a Toilet Stick." (Those being things they used in place of 'toilet paper.') Zen is Complicated, (and at the Same time Simple!). The Master's answer meant: Stop asking such questions, and pay attention to what 'you' really 'need.'

So let us Stop Acting Shocked over Words, and BURN over Issues. The Sacred Heart of Jesus is doing JUST THAT.

anna is losing!

On the third day of his fast, the doctors had found that he had lost 3 kilos of weight.

But that is the Least of his losses. he is losing Two Very Important things:

1. The Jan-Lokpal which he had wanted, which he had fought for, and actually for which he must have begun this his second fast, is fast getting out of his grip. he is getting the Jokepal.

In India, from who knows when, Water was added to Milk to increase its mass. Sold by the litre, it brought more money to the Milk-man. Then there came a time when it was said that 'Milk was being added the Water,' so thin had the mixture become. The Jokepal is like that.

anna is getting the Jokepal, he seems to be happily accepting it, but he is losing his Jan-Lokpal.

2. Am extremely disappointed with anna. As I see are Indeed Many Others. he is cosying up with politicos. he is calling the bill his, a mention which is totally Un-Necessary. he is at loggerheads with the AAP.

With all this, he is losing the respect he had commanded.

We are required to Love Everybody. But Respect is commanded. It cannot be bought, nor is it 'given.'

The 'lankan' incidents

This small country, a close neighbour, could have received much love and affection from Us. But I choose to put it down by not using the 'sri' it uses before its name.

Let me go back to the Khobragade incident. This Young Lady, this Child of Mine, has ALL my Sympathy.

But, While Speaking about her and the things that happened to her, people refer to Our Sailors having been reportedly killed by the members of the italian armed forces. The persons who had died were from kerala. That whole state, practically, and even Indian higher ups rose up and made enough noises to come to attention of the National Media.

But Tamilian Fishermen have been SHOT AT, had their Boats damaged, had their Boats Captured, been themselves Captured and Jailed in lanka, and what does India do? It gives training to lankan armed forces, and sells them military equipment.

The central administration of India behaves like a regular Step Mother as far as the Woes of Tamil Nadu are concerned. This is Not a good thing.

Let us NOT worry about Corruption!

As it is, Most of us do not seem to be worried about it. And here I am, giving a 'reminder' to the effect!

Most of us do not worry about Corruption because it does not seem to touch our lives. We do not seem to be affected by it.

Among those who use the Facebook, Twitter, and read Blogs, etc, Most are 'Well to do.' They have their Businesses, or Good Jobs, perhaps working abroad, and might even use a little 'palm grease' to get things done. All in all, No Real Harm in Corruption, is what we seem to think.

Ok, consider this. Just recently, two Luxury Buses caught Fire, and as far as I understand, ALL the passengers in them died. As I said, Just Recently. You can, or maybe Should, look it up. Owners of luxury buses are not poor people. To have put up the requisite Safety set-ups was not beyond their reach. It was just Carelessness on their part. The Philosopher would say that is Corruption.

And 'Today's' News says that a 55 year old 'Actor' died, falling into an Open Ditch in, if I am not mistaken, Bangalore. It was Open because they had dug it up to 'Repair' it, and Just Clean Forgot to put up Markers to warn those using the Road at Night, etc. ...During the report, there was also some mention of a 2 year old dying in a separate incident.

Now are WE Sure that that will not happen to Us?

We have our famous scams in India: The 1.76 Lakh Crore scam over the 2G, the Coalgate of India, laloo prasad's 1000 crore scam over Cattle feed, ...Well, You know it.

But contractors try to save a few Hundreds/Thousands, which would be needed to put up decent markers to warn of open ditches. If You do not think this is Corruption, and that it would Not affect Your life, ...I am Speechless. And, by the way, the 'mayor' very kindly said that NO action would be taken against the contractor.

I am fighting for You! I walk, Or travel by Town Buses, which, travelling at some 30 kmph, will not cause much damage even if involved in an accident. I am fighting for You!

Well, Folks! Corruption DOES affect us. Many times it takes our Lives. And that of our Dear Ones.

DO let us Worry about corruption. DO Speak out.

One Very Good Way to do this would be to Join and Support the +AAP, the +Aam Aadmi Party.

Why is anna hazare shooting off his mouth?

anna had set us on fire. United India! The govt got shivers up and down its spine (excuse me, though they are 'spineless,' have to use that word, can't think of another one right just now)!

But Spinelessness has its uses. Like the proverbial Eel, they just slipped out of his hands, turned clever, stuffed a nipple of a promise into his mouth, made him give up his fast, and anna awoke to see that he had been fooled.

But, whatever it is, anna loves his Country as much as he hates corruption. So he is at his fast again. AND THE GOVT IS AT ITS TRICKS AGAIN!

But anna is simply Not able to see that. Old age? The tiredness of his fast? Other Problems?

Instead of Fighting for a Clean, Complete Lokpal bill, he seems to have happily accepted the Garbage, the Jokepal, that the govt is promising to pass. And he seems to be waiting only for the passing of that Watered-down, Jokepal bill, before giving up his fast.

HIS CONCENTRATION IS NOT ON THE BILL! He seems to have a 'grudge' against +Arvind Kejriwal. Hence my word: Problems!

anna had said that if passed, it would be 'his,' anna's bill!!!
And today anna is daring Arvind to go on a fast for the Lokpal.

anna should have known that the british might have given in to 'Satyagraha,' Fasts and Marches. The Indian govt seems to give exactly two hoots for these things.

If a person is Not too well known, like the Iron Lady, the Fair Lady, the Brave-heart Irom Sharmila Chanu of the NE, he/She will be force fed. The kind govt has seen it fit to keep her alive for more than 12 YEARS, making hers the world's longest fast.
...If a person is Less well known, like that Sadhu who went on a Fast for a Clean Ganga, they will Coolly let him die.
...If the protesters are poor fisher folk, like the People of Kudankulam area, not wanting a nuclear plant on their heads, the area is Isolated, even Buses are not allowed to ply, police surround them, and they can go hang.
...If a person become's well known, like anna, they just stuff a nipple in his mouth.

Altogether, Fasting Accomplishes Nothing in this country!

anna, courtesy of all major political parties, will be handed an Utterly Useless bill by the govt. Which will be like a Girl getting a Child She had Not Planned for! It would be like the govt raping anna!

And anna has not realized this. Why is he shooting off his mouth?

The courts - Jyoti - lalit modi

Jyoti had been Gang Raped exactly a year ago, sentences have been given out. But, one of the Rapists, said to be a Juvenile, is having it Easy.

BUT, just to recall things, 'he' was the one who had been the Most Cruel, who had Inserted an Iron Rod into her Vagina/Anus! (I knowingly used these words). And 'that' is the action of a Juvenile!

Poor Ambedkar and co. They had Never thought that their Beloved Country could become so bad. They had left the elections to be once every 5 years, Wanted to Protect Juveniles, this and that.

But today's juvenile knows more than what I do now, at least in some matters. ...Here we come to the courts. For the courts, the laws were made, and 'though' there are provisions for exceptions, it is enough for them to 'finish' the case and proceed to the next one.

I do not wish the Rape of a Wife, Sister or Daughter of even my enemy. But, if a member of a judge's family had been raped by a juvenile, would the sentence been the same?

...Talking of lalit modi. A man with soot all over his face, (In the West, You call it 'egg,' here it is Kaalik, Kari, soot). The bcci, though itself tainted, bans modi, this time rightly! But the rajasthan court 'had' to go and put a stay on that order, thereby releasing modi to his merry dance.

And you want me to respect the courts?

The Jokepal - and the Media!

What happens now is that once an election is over, the party that comes to power takes it as 'license' to loot, secure in the knowledge that according to the present laws, they will be there for 5 years. It is almost Impossible for the Common Man to take them to task. The Lokpal would End that. By the bringing in of the Lokpal, If promises are not fulfilled, those responsible will be asked Why, and If Necessary will have to Vacate their seats and make way for Better Choices.

As We can Understand, that is a MOST Bitter pill for officials to swallow. Hence the attempt to bring in the Jokepal, at best. Which politico, which judge, which anybody wants to be put on the dock?

Here we have to remember that 'Owners' of the Media and the Newspapers would come under the Ambit of the Lokpal too! We do not see those Owners on TV! We merely see the 'News presenters,' who are Nothing else but Paid Staff. It would be Most difficult for Paid Staff to Question Owners. Hence they would Mouth whatever the Owners tell them to say. Which is What they are doing.

That is Why the Media is not Highlighting the govt's attempts to bring in the Jokepal. That is Why they are harping about the Differences of Opinion between anna and Arvind, - Arvind, Who is Right.

Anna had not gone on his Fasts for himself.
Arvind is not Standing for the Real Lokpal for His Own Benefit.
They are Fighting for the Rights of Common Man, and that means You and Me.

In this fight of looters vs Us, Every Clean Official, Every Police personnel, and Every Member of the Media will have to Declare-Out-Loud Where they Stand!

It is NECESSARY that We Come out of our Shells, Stand Beside those Who are Fighting for Us, In the case of Anna, laying down his life for Us. We have to Unite and Raise Our Voices with them.

It is Our Bounden Duty for the Welfare of the Coming Generations.

The Jokepal - and Anna Hazare!

+Anna Hazare had gone to the Extent of being ready to lay down his Life for the Lokpal. But Now he is satisfied with the Jokepal.

As far as Anna's Moral fibre is concerned, he is a man beyond blame.

The political parties want to pass the Jokepal, an Absolutely Watered down version of the Lokpal, and in a Hurry too! This is in Order to be Seen as Carrying out the People's Will, as passing a bill that the People had asked for, and as Saving Anna's Precious Life.

It Seems that Anna's present Advisers, Notably +Kiran Bedi, are so concerned about Saving Anna's Life, that they are ready to accept whatever the govt is ready to give.

Now, Any person, on a Long fast like this, particularly at Anna's age, is sure to be Experiencing the Greatest Tiredness. Thinking and Analyzing, particularly on Important matters, requires a Lot of High Energy! That is going down in the case of Anna.

It is Extremely Difficult to Lose Someone near and Dear to You. Anna must be relying on Kiran and Others there for his decisions at this time. A 'Seeming Kindness' on the part of Kiran and Others there with him, can do the Greatest Harm to the Country at large.

The Lokpal - vs - the Jokepal

The Lokpal is a 'bill,' which, if passed by the parliament, will become Law, which would afford the Citizen Many Rights and Much Protection.

For instance, just now, the Agencies which Investigate are ALL under that 'thumb' of the government, notably the CBI. The Lokpal is demanding Independence in Investigation.

It was for things like these that Anna Hazare had undertaken his fast, which lasted 13 days, and he might have expired of the fast, had not the govt promised to bring about the law.

But the govt had used the ill famed 'Political Nipple' of promising to fulfill it, and then I suppose it conveniently 'forgot' about it. Hence Anna's Second Fast.

Now, with elections around the corner, ALL political parties, (well, almost all), are in a HURRY to get the bill passed. Whatever he is, anna is an adamant man. If the bill is not passed, he will not give up his fast. And the govt would not Dare to force-feed him; Anna has become that big, the People are very much behind him, and things are very much in the lime-light. ...But what they intend to pass is such a mockery, that it is known as the Jokepal bill.

Now, in this, the Jokepal, if You are complaining about 'x', 'he' himself would carry out the Investigation! ...If You want time to laugh, You can have it! (By the way, this is what happens in the catholic church too!).

The Common Man faces Many, Many problems in govt offices. (Shall write about this soon). And You can imagine what would happen, when the might of the government machinery unites and gathers against him. Upon the Common Man falls, in the Jokepal bill, the Onus of proving the charges. Instead of proving it in his Village, surrounded by His People, he has to do that 'Among the goons, against the goons.'

+Arvind Kejriwal put it Superbly when He said: 'In its current form, the bill won't send a mouse to jail, forget a politician.'

+anna hazare took India by storm, started a new movement, and gave India the Hope that it is possible to Defeat Corruption. AAP's Victory in Delhi is a sort of Culmination of what was started by anna.

anna has been adamant that politics is too corrupt, to enter into it is to enter into corruption, and such. When +Arvind Kejriwal started the AAP, anna had been most displeased about it. But Arvind seems to be performing the Impossible task of being 'in' politics, and at the same time, remaining Clean.

On the one side, it is one of the Misfortunes for the World itself, that People of Good Hearts all seem to go their Individual ways. Long have I pointed out the Power of People like anna, Arvind, +Kiran Bedi, +Medha Patkar, +Uday Kumar of Kudankulam, etc, getting together and joining hands, Each Supporting the Others' Fights. That has not happened. It is very disappointing.

On the other hand, anna, the man who had the courage to undertake a 13 day fast, reaching death's doors, today seems to be on his dotard, turning senile. he seems to be surrounded by people who want to gain mileage out of his new fast, his name. His choices, decisions, and pronouncement speak to me of that.

One of those trying to climb onto anna's bandwagon is +vk singh, ex general of the Indian Army, a man of many controversies. These military officers are very self assured people. It comes out in their voice. But that is of NO account to Us. he is criticizing Arvind, who has the Country's Highest Regard. And that too, vk does not say things openly. he 'hints.'

Just Who is Responsible for Power Shortage in TN?

When DMK was in power in TN, just before this present regime, there were Power-cuts to the tune of 2 or 3 hours a day.

The present chief minister made a regular hue and cry, and a huge song and dance about it. she also published, DAILY, Whole-page 'statements' in newspapers. (What must have been the cost?)

And before the elections, promised to give 24 hour power supply to Tamil Nadu if elected. Now she has been in power for more than 2 years. And 10 to 12 hour power cuts have become common, And, THOUSANDS OF SMALL FACTORIES HAVE GONE  OUT OF BUSINESS, Some 18,000 in the Coimbatore area alone.

For this power shortage, the Central govt is being blamed. The chief minister does this on a Regular basis, but today watched, over the Sun TV, a Communist party politico singing the same tune. (Makes one wonder what 'adjustments' have been made). But in speaking, he let the Cat out of the Bag!

One thought that the Central govt had some Animosity towards this present administration in TN, due to which it was Withholding power supply to the state.

NOT SO! It seems, from what this communist politico said, that a Grid has NEVER existed to bring the supply from the North. They have been merely 'speaking about it' for the past 30 years, it seems.

IN THAT CASE, Just HOW had the DMK managed to give 21 to 22 hours of supply during its time? Just WHY can't the present regime do the same? Just where is the current disappearing?

The chief minister is Insulting the Intelligence of the Common Man of Tamil Nadu, in short, Adding Insult to Injury.

One of the Ugliest things

Happened to watch a video last night on the TV, which showed a Village Headman having to Catch his Ears and Do Sit-Ups, a Punishment commonly meted out to small boys in India.

The video showed a group of people in the background, and the TV was saying that this happened in view of the police. So, a 'public' Insult. The news was saying that this was a 'Ragging.'

The channel also mentioned that the person making this poor man do this was some high-up of the SP, the 'samaj-vadi party' of India. India has really numerous political parties, on the principle of 'the more the merrier!' ...Samaj means society, and samajvadi would mean 'Of the society, For the society,' etc. So this is how this party with such a wonderful name was treating a part of 'society,' an elected head of society.

This might be a very ugly thing, but certainly not the worst. Severely Beating up People, Kidnapping Wives and Daughters, and Killings are common happenings. We do not need the 'mafia' to do those things to us in India! political parties perform these 'services' for us.

These things will Stop ONLY if You and I raise up our voices. Please take the Simple step of giving a 'Like' to my Comment to this post, which shall say: If True, these sort of things Should Stop.

The Citizen Has EVERY Right to Question the Administration

One of the  persons involved in the killing of rajiv gandhi had been sentenced to death, against which decision he appealed. And the cbi (Central Bureau of Investigation) said that Nobody had the Right to Question the Investigations.

What are We, a Whole Nation of Slaves?

On one side, politicos say that People have to 'enter' politics in order to make comments on things political. Then we have the Draconian IT66A, which has proved to be of great use ONLY to politicos. And now this from the cbi.

The Administration - (down with the word government) - Exists ONLY IN ORDER to Make the Lives of the Citizens Better. ALL branches of the Administration are there Just for this.

The Fast that +Anna Hazare has undertaken is over Such things too. His +Lokpal Bill covers such things also. That Every official, Every judge, Every politician, right up to the president, be under the Scrutiny of the Citizen.

As Such, Each and Every office holder is Answerable to the Citizen. In a Democracy, Each and Every official CAN be questioned, and Will Have to be questioned. Failure to keep the officials under check has led to our present situation, which is a Pseudo-aristocracy. Each and Every official, while mouthing sweet talk, thinks he/she is aristocracy. Well, they can 'think' that. Why should we prevent them? But officials 'behaving' like aristos Will be Questioned, and if necessary, receive a goodly kick on their generous backsides.

In the present state of things, the Citizen WILL have to Undergo the decisions of the officials of the state. If the courts so order it, the Citizen will be jailed or even hanged. But that does not Automatically, or Necessarily, mean that the judgements were Right! judges and ministers are not God. They are Not Infallible. Corruption among judges is not Unknown. And the first concern of 'law-makers' is to make laws which would benefit 'them.'

The Citizen can be wrong in his questions, or he can be wrong, period. But, Every Citizen has Every Right to Question the Administration. The Administration Exists for the Citizen, and is Subservient to the Citizen.

The Citizen and the State

THE CITIZEN IS SUPREME. THE STATE EXISTS FOR THE CITIZEN.

The State is the collection of Citizens. If there are No Citizens, there is No State.

The State is not a Map, a picture, a line drawing on a piece of paper. Enough countries have drawn their own lines!

Nor is the State a piece of Land. The moon can be said to have 'Land.' But it does not have 'states.' States might come into existence on the moon if People start living there!

The Citizen would be Wise to Protect the State with Everything in his might, as the State is made of his Family, Relatives and Friends. But, he depends not just on his family, but also on his neighbours living far and wide. And so the State is not made of Just his family and friends. As such he has the DUTY to protect the State with Everything in his might.

The Officials are NOT the State. They are the Servants of the State. The word 'Minister' is only a glorified name for a Servant! If the elected 'ministers' are not ready to SERVE the Country in Every sense of the Word, they should all go home. Fast indeed are Citizens becoming +Arvind Kejriwal. Similarly, Every official in Every office had better come off the high horse, and Serve the People. They are receiving Enough Salaries and emoluments from the Citizen.

At first I had been Irritated that such a Mundane, Useless thing is getting SO much time. What came to my mind was: 'Such Insistence on Non-Essentials!'

It had started with the supreme court of India giving out an Absolutely Worthless statement to the effect that 'Only high dignitaries can use the red beacon on cars.' On the face of it, every tom, dick, harry and his cousin has one on his car. But with the court's pronouncement, the fight of every politico would have been to prove that he is a high dignitary.

But happily that has not happened. politicos have begun to sense the mood of the People, which just now says: No red beacons. 'End culture of entitlement.' So many politicos are voluntarily saying that the culture should go. Viva la People!

What it finally comes down to is this: The supreme court has made a pronouncement on an Absolutely Useless Issue. Take Anna's Fast, and his demand for the Lokpal bill, which would bring EVERY official under the Scan of the Citizen, AND give the Citizen the Right even to Recall elected officials if they do not perform. THIS Issue is of the Greatest Importance, and was worthy of the sup court's interest. The sup court failed in this. What we see is a Whitewash.

The supreme court is Ignoring Essentials, and spending time on Useless things.

Human Rights Org - India- And...

Some time ago, the Org did something which made me lose a Lot of Faith in it.

It gave jayalalitha a prize for being a champion of sorts in matters connected to the Org. I think it was to do with the uplifting of women's conditions, or something.

ALL political parties keep a lot of rowdies. I suppose that is because the People will Rise up and Question them. The rowdies keep the People down! In their place. The regular canines of George Orwell.

Quite some time ago, ramdas' goons had beaten up the fans of the Tamil Movie Star Rajnikant. There is flourishing a major goon in Madurai. But in my opinion jaya beats the lot. MOST of her supporters in our village are elements You would best avoid.

And this woman gets a prize from the Human Rights Commission or Org or whatever. Had a lot of money changed hands? (jaya has LOTS of money. 28 Kilos of Gold alone, Declared, and God knows what else). Would the commission stoop to this? Or is it GULLIBILITY?

And that brings me to... Westerners think that Monies they send to the so called 'charitable organizations' in India, (let me stick to just my country of which I know), is being spent well, and they, the Donors, live a peaceful life.

But what happens? The fellow erects a 1 Crore building, (and that some 8 years ago!), and was paying 20 rupees a day for 12-16 hours of work! And gets the name that he is providing 'employment!' ...Families HAVING land get a house built for them. Those who are too poor, and have no land, get no house . THAT is called help! ...A single family gets THREE houses, and TWO auto rickshaws. Others can go jump in the well.

So, Folks, and I mean Westerners, Stop being Gulls! Haha.

Human Rights - and ganguly

In an Advertisement for a Balm for Aches and Pains, we have the words: "You Work for 16 Hours a day, take good care of Your back." (Incidentally, the man having the back ache is a Waiter in a small Restaurant).

It has become the Rule that Drivers and Conductors (those who give out tickets in Indian Buses) will work for 12 Hours a day.

Many, Many Nurses and Nursing Staff work 12 hour shifts. And the Wonder of Wonders is that they have to 'Continue' if the person relieving them does not turn up! NO Extra compensations either!

There are colleges where Lecturers have No Leave!

THIS is the Condition of Human Rights in India.

Human Rights exist to Such a High Degree in India, that the country has not seen the need to allow a branch of the Human Rights Org to be functioning here! Haha.

There indeed are many agencies in India which use the words: 'Human Rights,' etc. But they have NO connection with the World org of the same name. Also, they are merely like 'Shyster lawyers' of whom we have heard so much. These local brand human right groups are merely out to make as much money as possible from the Citizens.

All this being so, ganguly cannot be a head, tail or member of the International agency. The news says that the fellow has been 'Indicted.' Yet he is not ready to step down. (Folks, there must be Good Money to be made in these things!) ...The organization is not Interested, or Able, to make him quit.

An Indicted Molester is the head of a human rights org! Shall we all cry?

And why are they all still referring to him as 'Joosteece' so and so anyway? Old habits dying hard? It is High time we changed such things.

rowdies - and politics!

"You make the rogue at home into a rowdy on the Street,
 The rogue of the Street becomes the rowdy of the Constituency,
 And then he becomes an mla (member legislative assembly!), or an mp (member of parliament!),
 A ruling minister of the Administration (down with the word government)."

The above is a rough translation of what is being repeated on the 'ADITYA,' the Tamil Comedy Channel.

What the Channel is presenting is supposed to be comedy. (I supposed the presenters have not really Reflected on the Seriousness of things there).

Literature, in ALL its forms, Reflects the Mind of the People. ...Many Movies, both Indian and Western, show how the elected act as as criminals.

But the above few lines show how 'rowdies and criminals get elected.'

And that the People are Well Aware of this.

the congress has not learnt anything

The Recent elections in India spoke the People's mind.

As for as Administration is concerned, (down with the word 'governance') the congress has been no worse than any other party. shiela dixit is supposed to have given 'development' to Delhi. So it not exactly bad Administration that has brought the congress down.

But of late, the oldest party of India had been smelling to High Heaven of Corruption. Though all parties, (Except the AAP) have proved to be corrupt, extremely corrupt, and though the bjp has been a very close second, congress is the leader in corruption.

Corruption is what brought the congress down at this election. But sonia, rahul, the spokes'persons of the congress, None of them have learnt the lessons. But let us Not think, because of the title of this post, that Only the congress is at fault in learning lessons.

Take sharad pawar, second to None in filth. And he made some interesting statements too. he has said that congress' leadership is weak. So if a person like indira gandhi, a sort of an Iron woman, had been the leader, she would have 'Crushed' the AAP, by having another 'emergency' declared, is what pawar meant! So, according to pawar, you can be corrupt, but if you are Strong enough, it is ok.

And take farook! congress has his continued support. Well, he cannot very well support the bjp, can he? After all, he is a farook.

And what of the Common  People of India? Have they learnt that AAP can present Good Options for Good Administration? One fellow wrote in Facebook: If AAP does not join hands with the bjp to form the Administration in Delhi, he would leave the AAP! Leave this silly fellow, +Kiran Bedi is saying the same, that AAP and the bjp should come together for some 'common minimum programme.' Kiran, You utterly disappoint me. Good Bye Values, save 'new election expenses?' My Dear fellow, my Dear Kiran, bjp is neck deep in corruption.

By the way, just WHY should elections cost the heavens, anyway?

Do excuse me. I seem to have left our dear media out of the list of those who do not learn. Times Now is thundering its disappointment that AAP is not joining hands with the bjp. Political parties Swallowing up the People's Money, the Taxpayer's Money, is Nothing for them.

Well, it takes TIME to learn lessons. The whole Country has to become better at Understanding things. Till then, let the political parties put up more cinema actors, sports personnel and such. They will get them votes, and then they will 'vote' according the the 'whip,' as the leaders of the party want.

Today, had occasion to glance at the 'Hindu,' the prominent daily of India. And one of the pieces of news was on... who else, ganguly.

Let me go back just a little. There is a saying in Hindi, 'Chori and Seena-Jori,' the man steals and is belligerent about it. ganguly was telling the journalists yesterday over the TV that 'he had tolerated enough!' ...What all Patient Mother India has to Tolerate!

Coming back to the 'Hindu,' No less than the Law Minister of India, Kapil Sibal, had expressed displeasure over the supreme court 'washing its hands off this case.' He had said that the 3 member panel/bench enquiring into ganguly had submitted the report that 'Sexual Overtures' had been made.

And yet the sup court 'washes its hands off the case!' 

Time and again I have said that politicians, judges and the police, getting police protection, do not suffer as does the Common Man, like having His Daughter Molested, and often enough, Gang Raped. 

And since these three branches do not feel the 'pain,' they do not bother. Whereas Common Man Looks Up to them for Protection and Justice, and has, in fact, No Other Agencies to turn to!

The media is nicely muzzled in India. Licences are very easily cancelled. TV Channels one begins to like are suddenly just NOT there! All this being the case, the media is 'singing' that big fish are being caught and tried, meaning thereby, people like tejpal and sanjay dutt, etc.

But ONLY politicians, judges and heads of business corporations are the Real Big Fish. If they are brought to Justice, then will I Not have Contempt! Haha! You know for what.

From Mandela - to the catholic church!

Nelson Mandela, a Man who made a Difference, passes away.

Among the tributes paid to him, I saw Archbishop Desmond Tutu on the TV.

My late Bishop, Right Reverend George Saupin, SJ, Archbishop Tutu, and late Archbishop Oscar Romero are among those I Most Highly Respect. All three have one thing in common, in that they all lived for the People, especially the Poor and the Oppressed. As my Homage and Mark of Respect to my Bishop George, am giving You a picture of his.

Bishop George expired of Heart Ailments. Bp. Tutu still lives. And, Bp. Romero was... Assassinated.

Bp. Tutu belongs to the Anglican church, whereas Bp. Romero was a roman catholic. El Salvador, Romero's country, is 56.6% catholic.

italy and el salvador can be called 'catholic' countries, due to the percentage of catholics. But italy is home to the infamous 'mafia,' and salvador to gangs with other names. salvador is also the country where a mere 13 families own and control 40% of the land. this 'catholic' country has also had the record for the highest number of murders.

south africa, though having a very high Christian population, is Not a catholic country, and it let Mandela live. In catholic el salvadore, Romero is assassinated.

After Romero's assassination, the catholic heads are considering declaring Romero to be a 'saint.' Thus, while Romero and many Priests in el salvador gave their lives for the People, the role of the catholic church has been ...a consideration for his sainthood.

Of GREAT help that would be the to Poor and Oppressed of salvador, and to the World in general. Here, Your little son has been killed by the gangs, just light a candle to 'saint' romero, and You will be able to forget all Your troubles, and be able to sleep in peace, seems to say the catholic church. There have been No Strong Enough Statements for Justice and Peace in salvador, No Attempt to carry on Romero's mission on the part of the church.

Many 'churches,' - [For Non Christians: Here a church means a group of christians] - Emphasize Faith, or Prayer, or this or that. The catholic church is supposed to carry the Fullness of the Teaching of Christ. But the catholic curia (the heads of the church) think it is enough to pay mere Lip Service to Christ's: 'May Your Kingdom Come.'

catholics might think that I am against the church. Not on Your life! I Fully adhere to the teachings of the Catholic Faith in their Purity. But I both feel Free, and Feel the Responsibility, to Criticize the church, particularly the sleeping curia. It is like pointing out the egg on the face. I point it out, You can clean it up. I don't, people are going to laugh at You!

From his life and recent Remarks, the present Pope seems to give us Hope of goodly changes in the catholic church. It is much needed indeed.

Needed... A Shift in Priorities

There is a young man whose father is a farm labourer. Till the time of his marriage, about 30 in his case, they all lived in a One Room, 'Thatch roof house.' You need Night Vision Goggles even during the day if You enter the house, because it is dark with the soot of the cooking fire.

His father had given him an Education; the Youth made good use of it, borrowed here and there, and started a small business, and did well. He married a Girl from an equally poor family, and the couple moved off to the town where he had his business, about 60 Kilometres away. Now they have a Bonnie little Boy. Very Sweet. ...All this is a Real Life Example, No Names mentioned, of course.

Now, this goodly couple want to hire a Car if they are to visit their village! This would cost them rs. 4,000, both ways. Whereas, by bus or train, and thence auto rickshaw, the whole thing can be wound up in much less than rs. 400! But the thing is, the Young Man will travel by Car, and Nothing Else. The Grandparents care can grow thin yearning for their Grandson, the little Boy will not have the Pleasure of his Grandparent's company, but it has to be Car. Actually it is Not as if the Young man is rolling in money. He can afford the trip just once a year or so! All this in India. Not in the States where everybody seems to live 200 kms away!

...Poverty does leave a bitter taste in the mouth. There is Nothing Wrong in Earning Money, provided it is not done in wrong ways. A Child of God is Not required to be poor. ...As one finishes one's studies and steps out into the world, Raising one's standard of living, or Earning Money, if You want to put it that way, becomes one's Priority.

When Your Child is Young, You are Young too! Not too old! But as You grow in Age, You are supposed to start Thinking of just How the Money You are earning is going to be Used.

When We start thinking of Our Child's Education, what schools to choose, this and that, We are still thinking in terms of 'Money.' How and how much he or she will Earn in his/her turn!

...But having the Money, What has happened? Is Our Child Eating Well? No, he/she is Eating Junk food. He/She does not Know that there is a Thing called 'Childhood.' Thanks to Our Insistence that he/she Study, Study, Study, He/She does not have Time to Play. Nor a Place to Play. Neither does he/she know How To Play!

Again, We have the Money. But What about the Child's Future? Does he/she have Clean Air to Breathe? Right today We are Buying our Drinking Water. But corporates are buying up whole Lakes for their Bottling plants, for Soft Drinks, for Factories. Will the Child of the Future have Water to Drink?

Money is there, but What sort of Ecology is he/she left with? What about nuclear Wastes? What about... You fill in the blanks.

Having Earned at least some Money, We Need to Shift Our Priorities to the Various Issues pertinent to the FUTURE OF OUR CHILDREN.

So Okay, they are interrogating tejpal. And with all the Ruckus raise up by the Media, Facebook, Twitter and NGOs, (Non Governmental Orgs), it seems that 'joodge' ganguly will have to face the docks. Even sai ram's son has been nabbed, though he tried to give a run for his money for 58 days.

And the Whole World, ok, ok, the media is saying that the Big Fish are being brought in. And many people are nodding their heads. But I ask, WHAT Big Fish?

To a Flower, a cabbage is big. To a Tree, the mountain is big. But, compared to politicos, all those named above are mere Fish Chips.

Just some time ago, there was this bold sob of a minister in kerala, (a minister is an elected politician, in office), was caught on Tape mimicking his rubbing his shoulder on the Breast of an Actress. Other videos clearly showed how he was certainly 'drooling away.' he could not stay away from her; there he had his arm around her Waist, there around her shoulder, ...he could not keep his eyes away from her. Just Why do I keep harping on Justice? My God, what a Question! We Want Clean Air, Clean Drinking Water, Shall We Not have ...Justice?

Just WHAT is the difference between them? Both are accused by Similar, if not the Same, charges, namely, Misbehaving with Women.

But in One case, that of tejpal, he was hounded for a veritable seven days or so, and he is 'inside.' Whereas ganguly says that he will 'think' about resigning. Actually he says that 'The time to even Think about it has not yet arrived!' And he is the something something of the Human Rights Commission! Wonderful Rights We are going to have.

Speaking of Resigning, Just WHY is this option given to fellows like these? Should he not get a Kick in the Pants if he is guilty? Transferring, Resigning. Astonishing justice We have!

And it seems that the report on the 'enquiry' that was conducted in his case is with the chief judge of India. mr. chief judge, We, the People of India are Very Eager to know what the report says. If it says that he is Innocent, is not the case finished? If you do not want to make it Public, We, the People of India shall HAVE to assume that 'Daal mein kuch Kala hai,' (There is something Wrong here).

Our Funny election commission

In UP, a woman has put up merely a THOUSAND statues of elephants, which incidentally, are also the symbol of her party. On the One side, the TERRIBLE cost, and the Sheer Waste of Money. her argument was that people NEEDED to see these giants, in a free environment!

AS IF NOT ENOUGH ELEPHANTS ARE BROUGHT AROUND BEGGING IN THE STREETS OF UP!

And behold, PERMANENT election symbols! Which, for some reason, works like a Catalyst for the populace.

That, of course, is Another Misfortune of India, where people do not pay attention to what the party has already done, or the Suitability of the candidate, etc. Having already attended myriad meetings, of many parties in turn, having eaten the 'Biryanis' provided, and collected whatever was the going rate for the attendance, they will vote for whosoever caught their fancy. Just count the number of Cinema actors and actresses, not to say people from the sports field, who are out there deciding things for Us!

But they had brought in hitler too. So it is a world wide phenomenon.

Talking of TN, the pair of leaves being the symbol of the current ruling party, that symbol is plastered all over the place, with a twist... Increased number of leaves. Let it work on the subconscious of the people!

For all these things, the 'commission' will send a letter, asking for a reply within x days. There being whole teams behind them, they have already sorted out the kind of answer they are going to dish out, and they do it. commission is satisfied!

Smoking - And Tablas!

The Tabla is a Percussion Instrument of North India. It comprises of a Set of two. The Right Hand one produces an Exquisite Bell like Sound. (Imagine, Wood and Animal Skin producing Bell Tones!). The Left Hand one is also Unique, in that it can produce Musical 'Slurs.' (Slur, in the Musical sense, is the Change in Tone between Notes, without a Break).

Showing a picture of the Instrument, let me also pay Tribute to one of the Maestros, late Ustad Allahrakha Khan. (Ustad means Master, and Allah Rakha means something like: 'The Lord protected me, or The Lord Protects.')

I started learning this revered Instrument when I had just crossed 20. And my Guru was another Young gent, not much older than myself. He was a Miller by trade, Stone Poor, and he used to Smoke! I was rather surprised, and asked him about it. I mean, we suppose Musicians would not give in to these kinds of habits, What? And he answered me thus:

'If I have two rupees, I can eat two chapattis. They would leave me Hungry. With two rupees I can smoke two cigarettes, which give me a certain Satisfaction.'

Thus the connection between Tablas and Smoking! I wanted to write on Smoking when I came across an article in the net, (reference in Comments), which carries the head lines: 'Unique but truth: 35 percent Indians use tobacco despite ad ban.' I give it to You as I found it; let them answer for their grammar.

We Think, and the World Thinks, that these Silly fellows have Nothing Better to do than Kill themselves with these Weeds. We Think, and the World Thinks, that Seeing a Green Dot, Everybody will Understand that it stands for 'Natural Product.' We Think, and the World Thinks, that a One Line message, in the Smallest Font possible, will even Reach or Teach the Millions of Smokers.

There is definitely a 'We' versus 'They.' 'We' are those fortunate enough to have PCs, Tablets, Androids and Blackberries. 'They,' though many of them do possess Cell phones, keep them to get their bookings for Work, and to keep in contact with their family. And I am Not Speaking about our 'college' youth, who waste many a merry hour away, chatting and messaging with their 'friends,' and God alone knows what Knowledge they are acquiring.

China, much maligned, carries out its 'education' through what we call 'brain washing.' The people have to sit and listen, period. But India does not function in that way. 

So, the Duty of taking Care of 'Them' falls on us. We are already used to taking care of Others. Our Children! ...If We are to be our Brother's Keeper, We have to become MUCH more Active.

Religion - Christmas Gifts

We have reached the 'month' of Christmas, and I found people already buying and wrapping up gifts.

The BEST Christmas celebration is had by our MC Sisters, (Mother Teresa's, in case we have forgotten), who go out to the Slums and Bastis (areas where the poor live), right after Mass, and Spend time distributing what small things they have, organizing fun and games, and Simply Spending time with the People. In many cases we will find that even by Evening they had not even had breakfast!

And now a Thought on Giving, right from the lips of late MOTHER TERESA. She had said: "Give till it HURTS You!"
