anna is losing!

On the third day of his fast, the doctors had found that he had lost 3 kilos of weight.

But that is the Least of his losses. he is losing Two Very Important things:

1. The Jan-Lokpal which he had wanted, which he had fought for, and actually for which he must have begun this his second fast, is fast getting out of his grip. he is getting the Jokepal.

In India, from who knows when, Water was added to Milk to increase its mass. Sold by the litre, it brought more money to the Milk-man. Then there came a time when it was said that 'Milk was being added the Water,' so thin had the mixture become. The Jokepal is like that.

anna is getting the Jokepal, he seems to be happily accepting it, but he is losing his Jan-Lokpal.

2. Am extremely disappointed with anna. As I see are Indeed Many Others. he is cosying up with politicos. he is calling the bill his, a mention which is totally Un-Necessary. he is at loggerheads with the AAP.

With all this, he is losing the respect he had commanded.

We are required to Love Everybody. But Respect is commanded. It cannot be bought, nor is it 'given.'

The Jokepal - and the Media!

What happens now is that once an election is over, the party that comes to power takes it as 'license' to loot, secure in the knowledge that according to the present laws, they will be there for 5 years. It is almost Impossible for the Common Man to take them to task. The Lokpal would End that. By the bringing in of the Lokpal, If promises are not fulfilled, those responsible will be asked Why, and If Necessary will have to Vacate their seats and make way for Better Choices.

As We can Understand, that is a MOST Bitter pill for officials to swallow. Hence the attempt to bring in the Jokepal, at best. Which politico, which judge, which anybody wants to be put on the dock?

Here we have to remember that 'Owners' of the Media and the Newspapers would come under the Ambit of the Lokpal too! We do not see those Owners on TV! We merely see the 'News presenters,' who are Nothing else but Paid Staff. It would be Most difficult for Paid Staff to Question Owners. Hence they would Mouth whatever the Owners tell them to say. Which is What they are doing.

That is Why the Media is not Highlighting the govt's attempts to bring in the Jokepal. That is Why they are harping about the Differences of Opinion between anna and Arvind, - Arvind, Who is Right.

Anna had not gone on his Fasts for himself.
Arvind is not Standing for the Real Lokpal for His Own Benefit.
They are Fighting for the Rights of Common Man, and that means You and Me.

In this fight of looters vs Us, Every Clean Official, Every Police personnel, and Every Member of the Media will have to Declare-Out-Loud Where they Stand!

It is NECESSARY that We Come out of our Shells, Stand Beside those Who are Fighting for Us, In the case of Anna, laying down his life for Us. We have to Unite and Raise Our Voices with them.

It is Our Bounden Duty for the Welfare of the Coming Generations.

The Jokepal - and Anna Hazare!

+Anna Hazare had gone to the Extent of being ready to lay down his Life for the Lokpal. But Now he is satisfied with the Jokepal.

As far as Anna's Moral fibre is concerned, he is a man beyond blame.

The political parties want to pass the Jokepal, an Absolutely Watered down version of the Lokpal, and in a Hurry too! This is in Order to be Seen as Carrying out the People's Will, as passing a bill that the People had asked for, and as Saving Anna's Precious Life.

It Seems that Anna's present Advisers, Notably +Kiran Bedi, are so concerned about Saving Anna's Life, that they are ready to accept whatever the govt is ready to give.

Now, Any person, on a Long fast like this, particularly at Anna's age, is sure to be Experiencing the Greatest Tiredness. Thinking and Analyzing, particularly on Important matters, requires a Lot of High Energy! That is going down in the case of Anna.

It is Extremely Difficult to Lose Someone near and Dear to You. Anna must be relying on Kiran and Others there for his decisions at this time. A 'Seeming Kindness' on the part of Kiran and Others there with him, can do the Greatest Harm to the Country at large.

The Lokpal - vs - the Jokepal

The Lokpal is a 'bill,' which, if passed by the parliament, will become Law, which would afford the Citizen Many Rights and Much Protection.

For instance, just now, the Agencies which Investigate are ALL under that 'thumb' of the government, notably the CBI. The Lokpal is demanding Independence in Investigation.

It was for things like these that Anna Hazare had undertaken his fast, which lasted 13 days, and he might have expired of the fast, had not the govt promised to bring about the law.

But the govt had used the ill famed 'Political Nipple' of promising to fulfill it, and then I suppose it conveniently 'forgot' about it. Hence Anna's Second Fast.

Now, with elections around the corner, ALL political parties, (well, almost all), are in a HURRY to get the bill passed. Whatever he is, anna is an adamant man. If the bill is not passed, he will not give up his fast. And the govt would not Dare to force-feed him; Anna has become that big, the People are very much behind him, and things are very much in the lime-light. ...But what they intend to pass is such a mockery, that it is known as the Jokepal bill.

Now, in this, the Jokepal, if You are complaining about 'x', 'he' himself would carry out the Investigation! ...If You want time to laugh, You can have it! (By the way, this is what happens in the catholic church too!).

The Common Man faces Many, Many problems in govt offices. (Shall write about this soon). And You can imagine what would happen, when the might of the government machinery unites and gathers against him. Upon the Common Man falls, in the Jokepal bill, the Onus of proving the charges. Instead of proving it in his Village, surrounded by His People, he has to do that 'Among the goons, against the goons.'

+Arvind Kejriwal put it Superbly when He said: 'In its current form, the bill won't send a mouse to jail, forget a politician.'
