On Justice (2)

A Woman complains that She was Sexually Harassed. She gives that in writing. A Whole Swarm of bees arise. News is Dominated by this case for one Whole Week, for Heaven's sake! That is the tejpal case.

Another Woman complains of Sexual Harassment. It seems that She did not do so in Writing. A Whole set of Three judges are set up to enquire into this. For why? Because just one might Not give a Just judgement? Or are there more judges in India than cases? God knows. ...I would call Three judges grilling a Lone Girl in itself a Sexual Harassment. There were NO Others in the Examining Panel, mind You! And this is the case of retired 'judge' ganguly.

But is ganguly's case taking the media's attention? Oh, No. tejpal seems to be Juicy enough, going on and on for a Whole Week, as it seems to me.

Just WHY do they concentrate on certain cases? ...In the Jungle, a Pride of Lions, Chooses a Young animal to catch. BECAUSE 'THAT' IS EASY! NO PROBLEMS!

And then they All Share. The Jackals and the Vultures turn up for their Turn. What! What is the connection between tejpal and ganguly and Lions chasing a Lone, Weak, Young animal?

...If tejpal turns up at my Ashram, I would give him a Solid Slap. I am already insulting him by naming him in small case. So please do not think that I am Condoning him.

BUT, for Media, it is Much Easier, Much Simpler, to go after tejpal than after the politicos whom I named in my former post, and the same in the case of this ganguly.

So, Harass the Weak, and get a good name in the meantime (because a LOT of people are thinking that things are happening!).

A Game of Bullies and Cowards.

On Justice (1)

Does Justice Exist?

It is a World-wide Question, and the Situation is the Same All over the World.

Of course Justice Exists. It exists as a Concept, an Idea! It Simply Fills the Earth in Words and in  Books!

As for it existing in Practice, Hmmm...

Take the case of this tejpal. Hounded, Harassed, Left Right and Centre. ALL the agencies are behind him, some coming from far off states, their travel and hotel expenses to be borne by the Citizen, no doubt.

On the Other hand, here We find people Coolly standing as candidates in elections! Take the candidates of Delhi constituencies, harshvardhan, constesting from Krishna Nagar, and mohan singh bisht, from Karawal Nagar.

The former is charged under IPC section 509, Charge related to Word, Gesture or Act Insult the Modesty of a woman, and the latter under 354, Charge related to Assault or Criminal force to woman with intent to Outrage her Modesty.

To my Non-Legal Mind, all three are accused of Sexual Harassment of Women. Yet one is being treated practically like a dog, and the other two, they must be having police protection while they are campaigning, I suppose.

...

I am Not asking Why they are going after tejpal with such vigour.

I am Asking Why they are Not doing the Same for the Other Two Accused ones, and Numberless Others in the same Category.

Are We to Be like This? (2)

+BILL GATES recently gave a speech at a High School about 11 things they did not and will not learn in school.

He talked about how 'Feel-good, politically correct teachings' created a generation of kids with no concept of reality and how this concept set them up for failure in the real world.

I had found this also in Facebook. The points he had given are fairly long. So am giving You the reference to the post that speaks of this, in the Comments.

Are We to Be like This? (1)

+Gk Khanna had presented a little story in Facebook titled:

Kya Soti Praja Jaagegi?
Meaning: 'Will the Sleeping Citizen Awake?'

It is Very Interesting. So here goes.

Once a king had filled his courts with Robbers, Rapists and Musclemen, so his Citizens kept Quiet out of Fear.

Many tried to get the Citizens to Awake, become Conscientized, Aware of their Dignity and Rights, all to No avail.

The king raised the price of Oil. The Citizenry kept Quiet. he loaded most Unusual taxes on them, the result was the Same.

Then one day the king got an idea, he dug up a Perfectly Good Road, and built a Bridge on (over?) that, which was Not in the Least Required. But the People did not protest.

Then the king stationed a man there and started collecting taxes there, but Nobody Protested.

Then the king got bold, he told his men to...
...BEAT THOSE CROSSING THE BRIDGE WITH SLIPPERS AND SHOES.
...And he had placed there, a COMPLAINT BOX!

Nobody complained.

Then one day he was informed that there WAS a complaint in the box! he opened it. And found written:

"your highness, PLEASE INCREASE THE NUMBER OF MEN BEATING US, AS DUE TO OUR SHEER NUMBERS, WE ARE GETTING LATE TO WORK!"

Gk Khanna goes on, alluding to Anna Hazare and all, but You can look it up after a search for his name.

To Recognize him, am adding his profile picture.

Nuclear Power Plants, Kudankulam (3)

Today, while walking in the market, I noticed on advertisements of papers, that police is searching for Uday Kumar of Kudankulam in connection with some bombing there, in which 6 people had been killed. My Deepest Condolences to their families. But...

This is like asking modi to explain about the bombs that had exploded during his recent rounds. While it is Quite possible, and Not Unthinkable that leaders would resort to such tactics, there is a thing called PLAUSIBILITY! In the present Instance, it is Absolutely, Just Reeking, of 'Framing' a Leader to put down a Movement.

The Kudankulam protest has long gone on Peacefully, with Violence ONLY from the side of the police! In this day and age, they seem to forget that there is a thing called Social Media, Cell Phones, etc.

While looking forward to a Time when the political class will see to the Welfare, the Real Welfare of those who elected it, One also hopes for the Time when the police will Not think that they are Just the 'hand-maidens' of the politicians.

police men, and women, are supposed to have Brains, Intelligence and Conscience. Let them Start Using these, Stand Up Tall, instead of 'bowing' all the time.

Nuclear Power Plants, Kudankulam (2)

IF I WERE THE CM OF TAMIL NADU, THIS is How I would Handle the Crisis at Kudankulam.

I would go out and CAMP there, say for a Fortnight or so. Less than this would not be Convincing. All this, Provided I am sure that our friends the russians have really built a safe plant! Haha! ...There Will Definitely be difficulties in the Day to Day running of the government. But a Long Drawn out Protest by Lakhs (Hundreds of thousands) of People calls for it. And Keep making Frequent trips to that area.

I would start with Withdrawing all the Draconian Presence of the Police, Intimidating as that is in the Extreme. All Services, and then some, will have to be provided as a means of Reparation for their denial all these years. AND Withdraw all the Fake Cases dumped on the Protesters, and bring them back Home from jails, providing them with Compensation.

I would make the People Understand that government agencies, and government officials are Present, and functioning in that area. That Members of the government would be at the Receiving End too, in case of a Disaster. And I would take All steps necessary to see to the Really Meaningful and SAFE Disposal of the Nuclear Wastes.

BUT, if I had Really been the CM, I would Not have agreed to, or allowed, the Erection of a Nuclear plant in the First Place!

Nuclear power plants, Kudankulam (1)

KUDANKULAM is the place where India has built one of its latest Nuclear Powered Plants for the production of Electricity, with the help of russia.

And the People of Kudankulam do not like it all. Fears of a nuclear Disaster have made them Protest against the Plant for More than 10 Years.

I have repeatedly written that nuclear power plants are Not all that dangerous. Okay, Okay, I do Know about Chernobyl and the Japan disaster, as Others, and that Many, Many Western Countries Opting out of nuclear plants. What I mean is that Submarines are powered by nuclear power, and yet Sailors remain in them for Months at a Time. ...That russia has a Very bad record of nuclear safety is another story.

What Worries me, and What Most People are not paying attention to is the fact that the Disposal of the nuclear Waste is such a Hard and Tricky business... Particularly for the Coming Generations.

With all this, here is the Latest (as of Yesterday), of the tamil nadu gorement's way of handling the protests... Electricity is Switched Off, Cell Phones are made In-Operable, Cases of 'Anit-National Activity' and Charges of 'Setting Off Country Bombs' are made against the Leaders of the Kudankulam Protest, notably Uday Kumar, a Gentleman if there ever was one. By the way, the tn gorement has very kindly denied Bus Services to the People of that area for a Very long time.

'And Brutus is a Noble man,' and India is a Democracy.
